Tips for Mental Health During the Coronavirus

  1. Connect with family and friends online. Video chatting is easier than ever and can be a great way to connect with people even if they are far away.

  2. Get some sunshine! While going to heavily trafficked areas like public parks and beaches is NOT recommended at this time, taking a walk around the neighborhood, staying 6 feet away from others can lift your mood.

  3. Try a new hobby or reinvigorate an old one. Activities like drawing/painting, knitting, and baking feel productive and can re-spark creativity.

  4. Play brain games like puzzles, crosswords, Soduku, and chess. Brain exercises help keep your mind active and can help prevent dementia.

  5. Keep a journal. Writing your thoughts down can alleviate stress and anxiety.
