Dr. Lisa Veal has been a seasoned veteran in the eye care industry for more than 30 years. She started as an optometric assistant, became a board-certified optician and contact lens technician and also managed an optometric practice before becoming an optometrist.

Dr. Veal completed her Bachelor of Science at UCLA and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry at MBKU where she received training in Ocular Disease, Low Vision and Vision Therapy and completed internships at Downtown VA Medical Center, Optometric Center of Los Angeles, and the Center for the Partially Sighted. Dr. Veal is licensed by the California State Board of Optometry in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic agents to detect, treat and manage many ocular conditions such as dry eyes, infections, allergies and ocular diseases. Dr. Veal has been a recipient of several awards including the Alcon Case Study Award, the Varilux Student Grant Scholarship and the Great Western Council on Optometry Scholarship. You will find Dr. Veal primarily at our Mission Hills office.

She has given back to the community by serving as a volunteer for the Special Olympics and Lion’s Club Eyemobile performing vision screenings for athletes and school aged children. Dr. Veal also volunteers with Girl Scouts of America. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and time spent with her family and children. Dr. Veal also has an enthusiasm for all things glitter and scented. She loves going fishing and chasing fireflies and also enjoys going to the theater. One day she hopes to write a book series.
