"I am a therapeutic licensed optometrist, trained in all aspects of optometry, from primary eye care, to red eye evaluations, specialty contact lens fits, pre/post-operative exams and glaucoma diagnosis and management. I was born and raised in Simi Valley, California. I received my undergraduate degree from UCLA and completed my Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern California College of Optometry. My oldest sister also completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern California College of Optometry. She has been my inspiration and mentor into the optometry field and quite often our family gatherings evolve into animated discussions of the latest ophthalmic advancements. Optometry has always been a large part of my life.

I am also very passionate about giving back to the community. In addition to volunteering at health care events in Los Angeles such as Care Now! LA and Modern House Call for Women, I dedicated 9 months volunteering as a TEFL Certified English teacher in a public high school in Santiago, Chile. In my classroom, I also led a round-table discussion between my students and the President of Chile about the importance of learning a second-language and the positive impact this can have within today’s globalizing world. I am fluent in Spanish and very much enjoy using my Spanish skills here in Los Angeles, giving eye exams and patient education in Spanish. When I am not practicing optometry, I enjoy hiking throughout California and Chile, playing the piano and attending UCLA sporting events.
